Wolf Spirits Distillery was a small start up outfit out of Eugene, OR with a great vodka and a great story, but needed a great brand. Teaming up with a couple colleagues, we flew out to the great northwest and got to know the crew. Their Distiller, Ben Green, was already on his way to an award winning spirit, but their initial stab at packaging and marketing hadn’t produced much results. We dug in, and backed up to square one.

We started at the basic level, giving Wolf Distillery an identity worthy of the spirit animal, and crafted a manifesto that could anchor the vodka, and everything they produced going forward. We spent a bunch of time getting to understand Ben’s story and approach – to life and vodka-making. Looking at a category that has very little differentiation, we choose to create a brand that would disrupt all expectations, arriving at the name Blood, Sweat, Tears to represent this true labor of love. Working with designers at Moxie Sozo, we created a bottle and label that could showcase the entire story, as well as channel the personality of a vodka created by a lovable eccentric in the outskirts of a quirky Oregon town.


It’s in our BLOOD - our very being and our Oregon roots. It’s in our SWEAT - the grit and grime of toil. And it’s in our TEARS - the outcome of the trials, and the triumphs. We give you this, our hard day’s work. We give you our – Blood, Sweat & Tears.
